HISTORICAL CARTOONS & THE HISTORY OF CARTOONS

Spoke at a luncheon to the Friends of the Library on the above topics and I was so very pleased to say that it was a full house.  A wonderful welcome to the Commercial and Visual Arts students from the Career and Technology Center. Kay Shade, arts director of the library, shot video of the program.  As soon as I can edit it down, I will post some 'highlights' on Youtube.

Good questions from a great crowd of spectators.

The question did come up if I would consider speaking in the school systems as an artist in residence program.  Was told 'teachers would love the program' because Art and History and Geography we all tied in together.

Yes, I would be glad to come to your school to speak.  Please contact me at corben@corbengeis.com I'm available on Mondays and Tuesdays.  Also, I have done 2 day workshops, where some schools have me go into the various art classes instead of me just speaking in the auditiorium or theater. When I actually go into the classrooms, there is hands-on art projects assigned.
